Utilizing Cardiovascular Training Concepts for Judo
Course Objective : The athlete/coach/instructor (participant) will be able to demonstrate the understanding of general physiological concepts of cardiovascular training for judo.
1) The participant will be able to explain what constitutes aerobic and anaerobic activity, anaerobic threshold and the development of lactic acid.
2) Th participant will demonstrate a cardiovascular judo training workout using physiological concepts.
3) The participant will create a short/long term training program.

The CENCO Workout will focus on helping attendees measure their strengths and weaknesses in several areas important to maintaining a high level of performance in Judo.
Additionally, attendees will receive a followup analysis and training suggestions to help with focus-training to improve themselves.
The final hour of the workout will include a randori session for all the students to workout together.

What is the CENCO Training Camp?
A day full of exercises on and off the mat, lunch included.
Why are we doing it?
To give all CENCO judokas and community members the opportunity to come together, train as a group and provide long lasting experiences.
Who can participate?
All ages and experience levels are welcomed to participate.
What do I need to bring?
Make sure to bring your gi, exercise clothes and running shoes (yes, we will be running!).
How much, where is it at and when?
The training camp will cost $20.00 per person (lunch provided) and will be hosted by Silicon Valley Judo (92 North Almaden Boulevard, Suite B, San Jose, CA 95110) on Sunday, January 20th from 11am-2pm. Fees will be used to fund future developmental activities.

Shintaro Nakano will be having a Competition Clinic coming up soon at his dojo in Santa Clara. For kids between the ages of 10 and 20 with a minimum belt rank of orange.
