Cenco Member and Friends,
This is an invitation to all Cenco members to join us for the 45th Annual Kagami Biraki (New Year’s Celebration) hosted by Soko Joshi, Palo Alto and San Jose Buddhist Judo Club. Please join us on Saturday, January 21, 2017 in the gymnasium next to the Palo Alto Buddhist Church, 2751 Louis Road, Palo Alto, CA94303 to kick off the coming Judo events of 2017.
It is modeled after the traditional ceremony done in Japan each year. It is 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM with the pot luck lunch following the ceremony. Please bring a dish to share. There will be 7 katas demonstrated as well as an exercise and randori demonstration session. We encourage all Cenco members and their families to attend to get reacquainted and to help us celebrate the coming of the new year.
